I bought this, there are about 2 months for the express purpose of viewing DVDs. ISO file from your hard drive. It works wonderfully. The audio and video quality is really good.

The only problem is the remote control signal is very weak. You have to be near the player and that points directly.

In addition, the menu system can be a bit 'friendlier.

ASUS O!Play – TV HD Media Player (Black) Review

So I had my O-play between Christmas and I must say that I am overall very satisfied. Load a new firmware (1.17N) solves many problems with the player, they really need to get this version pre-loaded. I have all my content on a Windows XP Media linked to O-Play (and my other network devices) via Ethernet Powerline. I have not found a video format this thing will not play. The menu is very clumsy and the needs of many Poles. The device needs a way to store "favorites"You can choose to create links to your videos, movies, streams, photos, mp3 etc. as it is now you need several clicks to find the server, folder, subfolder etc. There is a way to improve this, but it is in the telnet device and modify some configuration files. Recommended only for hackers. Asus seems to do a superb job working on continuous improvement of the device. Are definitely on the ball and are updated in order to save more for what usuallysee on a consumer device. This is exactly what I wanted, I have a Buffalo 2TB NAS that I have my movies, music and photo collections and I wanted to be able to access on my Samsung 47in HDTV. Seagate FreeAgent Theater + station hdmedia Player was a breeze to set the setup program and consisting of connecting the AC, an Ethernet connection for home network via a Netgear switch, connect My TV via HDMI, the Seagate FreeAgent Theater + hdmedia Player Central has about 60 seconds to find and identifyAll media shared on my network, not only on the NAS 2 TB Buffalo, but also on all computers connected to the network with shared media. Great reading for all forms of media, music, movies and photos. The remote is very simple and that the batteries are included. This unit has a large basin for the Seagate FreeAgent USB hard drive. Ok, I bought this after owning a WD HD Media Player and the like. I have had very few complaints with it so did not pass on this because I hated WDTV I bought because I wanted a second device like this and wanted to give the theater FreeAgent + HD trying. I bought this in order to have all my media files in one place. I put a 1TB drive for unity. E 'was easy to install and connect to your TV. I'm not trying to connect to a network, the only problem I see is that the unit can not be used as a unit of media, if the USB cable is connected, but does not connect to my Xbox360 and an excellent work that way too . Seems to play videos through the Xbox 360 better than the machine itself. I think it's because the Xbox360 regularly updates its codec.  Read more...
