Roku HD-XR Player

Roku HD-XR Player Review

I hesitantly purchased the Roku HD-XR a few days ago. I was unsure how well it would really work over a wi-fi connection and whether the extra draw on my wi-fi would inhibit the functionality of my computer. However, I was excited to give it a go and have the opportunity to watch Netflix on my TV instead of my computer!

When the box from amazon arrived, I did a little happy dance then, immediately, set about hooking my new toy up. The whole process took about 15 or 20 minutes. I found the interface easy to figure out and was test driving my Netflix in no time!

Buffalo Technology Nfiniti Wireless-N Ultra Compact Client USB 2.0 Adapter WLI-UC-GN Review

Excellent product. Tiny, barely visible on the wired side of my laptop. Once installed, connected to my wireless network and treated my network security without a hitch. I was surprised, however, that the range does not seem to be as good as my (previous and now broken) on the wireless network card on board. I'm having no problem with the line itself, I note simply that I get a lower bar signal strength that I used (4 bar instead of 5). I have not noticed a problem withfeature, though. Maybe it's just the way the software interprets the signal strength, do not know. The only real problem I found is that all literature and software driver that comes with it say it is not compatible with Windows 7 operating system to 64 bit. After attempting to install the drivers and downloaded the drivers from the CD-ROM, in the absence of both, I almost gave up. But I decided to ignore the instructions and just plug it into Windows 7, he immediately recognizedinstalled the drivers and it was good work. I do not know if it is a credit to the product itself or Windows 7, but regardless, it does not work with Windows 7 64-bit, despite what the instructions and the website said.

Roku HD Player

Roku HD Player Review

I had the Roku SD for 4 days. I love it! My only problem is that its introduction I forgot my encryption key wirelessly, so I had to go through my ISP to reset it. Is not the fault of Roku.

Armed with the right button, the set-up was easy. There are so many free channels to choose. I love New in English from different countries. Mediafly has "podiobooks' to listen, not to mention a variety of podcast entertainment.

AirLink 101 AWLL6070 150Mbps 802.11n Wireless LAN USB 2.0 Adapter Review

I bought this wireless adapter for a specific purpose: to add a wireless network for Western Digital WD TV HD Media Player Live. At about $ 23 shipping from Amazon cheaper third-party vendors, is a great value. You can turn Live WDTV in an N-Class Video Streaming monster. Installation is no brain, because the driver is not necessary. Simply connect the Live, enter the parameters of the WLAN (SSID, WEP key) and you're on.

Seagate FreeAgent Theater HD Media Player STCEA101-RK Review

I love this thing. I was a bit 'confused at first about how to view the videos actually, because when you scroll the picture if you leave to rest on a file name that starts to show videos on the right side of the screen in a small box. I tried to push the game that does not work, it seems that you have to press the "Enter." My TV is only 26 inches so I had no problems with the quality of the images above 140MB/half hours is usually displayed with minimal distortion, andanything above 170MB/half right time

D-Link Wireless HD Media Player

D-Link Wireless HD Media Player Review

Strengths
1) very easy to implement. The input interface to network security key is uncomfortable, but since there will be data entry, not a very big deal.
2) works with a Harmony 880.
3) the video stream from a D-Link DNS-343 Network Attached Storage well. The DSM-320, I replaced the weight streaming from the DNS-343. I have two DSM-520S and tried the same movie streaming movies and two diffferent boxes without delay orjumps.
Weaknesses:
1) Price. Sale is not bad, but the list price is too high for me.
2) I could not work in USB port for updating firmware. You should update the firmware wirelessly, but I managed to do successfully. You can upgrade wired, of course, but I was too lazy to move.

Western Digital WD TV HD Media Player WDBABF0000NBK-NESN Review

After considering the comments of others, this media player is a buy WD safer. So I felt when I received and I found it very easy to use. Cuz he will not have any video codec missing, but for the most part, it does very well for the collection of movies / shows that I have.

Popcorn Hour A-110 HD Networked Media Tank

Popcorn Hour A-110 HD Networked Media Tank Review

I do not understand some comments by others here. Granted, I have a high level of technical expertise, but some of the others here say they do just as well if …? Much more complicated for the home user will get a Media Center PC and the management, because I do not think even remotely HTPC are "there" yet for the average user.

Regarding my Popcorn Hour … LOVE IT. This thing plays everything I throw at it, and gives me countless hours of fun just browsing through the Media CenterPortal that contains, among other things, access to Youtube, TV, radio, video and music.

Seagate FreeAgent STCEA201-RK Theater+HD Media Player Station (Black) Review

This is exactly what I wanted, I have a Buffalo 2TB NAS that I have my movies, music and photo collections and I wanted to be able to access on my Samsung 47in HDTV. Seagate FreeAgent Theater + station hdmedia Player was a breeze to set the setup program and consisting of connecting the AC, an Ethernet connection for home network via a Netgear switch, connect My TV via HDMI, the Seagate FreeAgent Theater + hdmedia Player Central has about 60 seconds to find and identifyAll media shared on my network, not only on the NAS 2 TB Buffalo, but also on all computers connected to the network with shared media. Great reading for all forms of media, music, movies and photos. The remote is very simple and that the batteries are included. This unit has a large basin for the Seagate FreeAgent USB hard drive. I recommend that everyone wants a simple installation fast and easy to use to access all your media collections on their HDTV.
