Roku SD Player Review

The Roku SD box was incredibly easy to install and connect to my home wireless network. The device has performed flawlessly over the last two months. The video and sound quality of all Netflix streamed videos was amazing – everything was crisp and clear. I have not purchased anything via Amazon on Demand, so I can’t speak to that. The Roku SD box is an extremely affordable way to access Netflix content through your television set. However, if you are a person who watches a lot of online video through Youtube, Vimeo, etc., or have a lot of video on your desktop/laptop from Itunes or other sources, you should buy something else (or ‘roll your own’ – [...]). Linksys by Cisco WMB54G Wireless-G Music Bridge Review

My Wireless Music Bridge is connected to my stereo system for two years. It 'been very reliable and the sound is excellent. Unfortunately, for one of these up is not recommended for a novice computer user. Probably also need to check the instructions of your wireless router, especially if the wireless network is encrypted. If you follow the instructions that should be OK, but it may take some tests. Also note that this device acts as an extension of your sound cardWhen activated. If you start playing video games or watching videos, the audio will also play on your stereo system. Apple TV with 160GB Hard Drive – MB189LL/A Review

I realize how much buy video servers. There are too many ways to watch TV – Netflix, Comcast, DVD – for me to fool with the downloading and recording discs. I was shopping for the perfect music server – my budget – and what it is. I am not a bigot, but Apple has recently purchased an iPhone and it works perfectly, it works exactly like the technology has been promised to work for a lifetime. It 'easy, intuitive, seamless and utterly revealing. Now back to Apple TV. It 'the same thing. IFollow the instructions on-simplified, it was connected and streaming music for my living room in seconds. Now, my extensive CD collection, it is immediately accessible and searchable, and can see the artwork and tracks. Tonight we had some friends and I created a playlist of jazz back ground smooth and Let It Rip. The whole process took seconds (!) And I in theory had 9 hours of continuous music mixed. Of course there is the infinite variety of Internet radio, if you're feeling lazy. This device is accessed it made me rediscover my music collection (both during the combustion process and the basis for launching albums on the screen) and introduced casual enjoyment to a new level. The sound quality is very good – most of it is hard to hear the real differences. And do not listen through headphones to an iPod soon. I am the power meters through television via HDMI to my Onkyo receiver and JBL S310. This product is a game changer and there is nothing like it. Are problemsfind something negative to say. Buy it now for what is the server that the music is perfect. Read more... (1092 words, 5 images, estimated 4:22 mins reading time)

ASUS O!Play – TV HD Media Player (Black) Review
![]()
So I had my O-play between Christmas and I must say that I am overall very satisfied. Load a new firmware (1.17N) solves many problems with the player, they really need to get this version pre-loaded. I have all my content on a Windows XP Media linked to O-Play (and my other network devices) via Ethernet Powerline. I have not found a video format this thing will not play. The menu is very clumsy and the needs of many Poles. The device needs a way to store "favorites"You can choose to create links to your videos, movies, streams, photos, mp3 etc. as it is now you need several clicks to find the server, folder, subfolder etc. There is a way to improve this, but it is in the telnet device and modify some configuration files. Recommended only for hackers. Asus seems to do a superb job working on continuous improvement of the device. Are definitely on the ball and are updated in order to save more for what usuallysee on a consumer device. This is a huge advantage new video formats, and therefore requires constant updating. Sling Media Slingbox PRO-HD SB300-100 Review

I'm in the Army and are stationed in Japan (Camp Zama). Television in English that we receive here is the AFN (Armed Forces Network) has about 13 channels, but only about 5 channels worth watching. I heard of the Slingbox from CNET.com. I did a search and called my friend in Tyler, TX, to see if it would create one for me.
He is wise enough mail so I asked if she wanted a hook in his house. His daughter has a Tivo HD in his room and went to college. Then hehooked it up to her room. I was not sure of the difficulty of its implementation, but said it took all of about 15 minutes and watch his computer in another room.
While I was hoping and praying I could not access it here in Japan. I downloaded the software from the Slingbox and I was watching TV wala perfect control of Japan TiVo on my computer. My internet was not fast enough to support a framework in 1080 so I backtracked to a 640×240table is the eqivalent to an image in VGA resolution.
So I decided that I was tired of watching TV on my computer. So I ordered a SlingCatcher and is much more convenient than being there on my computer.
I watch TV on my couch with a remote control that came with the SlingCatcher and control all the buttons on the remote HD Tivo. I think it works better on the SlingCatcher because there is really no delay to see him on my computer.
I think it's greatproduct, I just wish I would have put in place a year ago. That way I could watch all my shows, I also added a 1 Terabyte hard drive for the TiVo so I can save as many shows as I want.
It 'just like Tyler, Texas, with my TiVo HD DVR remote in hand watching TV on my HDTV. It 'really amazing.
I highly recommend this to everyone, it's worth its weight in gold. Read more... (416 words, 1 image, estimated 1:40 mins reading time)
