Ok, I bought this after owning a WD HD Media Player and the like. I have had very few complaints with it so did not pass on this because I hated WDTV I bought because I wanted a second device like this and wanted to give the theater FreeAgent + HD trying. D-Link DivX Connected HD Media Player (DSM-330) Review

I use the DivX Connected box for over a year, now that I got while in beta testing. We use it a lot and works very well as it was designed to do: play on your TV or stereo media is on your PC. We Gobs films and shows for children and music on our PC upstairs. In the basement is our newscast. Having a PC in the basement is not good, because they tend to be very hot. This unit interacts with the software running on the DivX ConnectedMedia upstairs PC and converts on the fly, all our media in a format that looks pretty good on our TV. Of course, the files that are small video files (eg QVGA) does not look terribly good blown up to 1080p, but the file is reasonable (the majority of our orders is done at VGA or 720×480) seems excellent. My only quibble that our drives sometimes freezes during startup, forcing me to Yank and reconnect the power cord. I chalk that as a beta unit and I assume that the units of D-Link are notproblem. For the price, this camera offers many features and works very well. We tried for a half-dozen different Video / Media Streamer, and the only one we had.  Read more...
